Our Vision
Level Ground is a cooperatively-led organization committed to creating a cohesive, non-hierarchical community. We build solidarity through our mutual desires to be in right relationship with each other and the planet, and by fostering collaborations that celebrate our intersecting identities. We hope to inspire new ways of organizing public and private communities in the arts and beyond.

Our Team
7 Staff Artists run Level Ground day-to-day. We’re supported by a team of board members who are artists and contributors from within our community.
Our Community
In May 2022, Level Ground announced a new, non-hierarchical organizational structure made up of 3 community groups. If you are part of one of these groups, you are part of the Level Ground Community. As part of this new structure, the Level Ground Board now includes 3 individuals from each community group. The board is voted on by members of our community.

Our Programs
Level Ground runs 4 annual programs that support multimedia artists across diverse platforms from gallery shows, to printed publications, to nonfiction filmmaking.

The best way to support Level Ground is to join our growing community. If you’re an artist, check out our current list of submission opportunities. If you have the financial means, become a Contributing Donor with a recurring donation of as little as $5/month. While our calendar is less full than it was in pre-pandemic times, we do have a number of ways to engage with Level Ground virtually and in person.
